Well, the strike started today. It doesn’t directly affect me, because I’m not faculty (I’m part of the support staff union). Having said that, there was no visible disruption to me. I got to work at 7:15 a.m. There were no cars waiting to get on campus.
Apparently their strike hours at 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. I leave work at 4, so it should affect me when I leave.
The university is still going on. This only affects colleges. All college classes at the school are cancelled, which means the hallways are clean, and the washrooms are clean.

What’s been going on with me? Well, I’ve worked out the details with the gallery in BC – regarding them selling my photography. I would expect them to be hanging by mid February. Next weekend I’m leaving for the hockey tournament in Israel. I’m excited! I get to see some family before and afterwards, and of course play hockey at an international level. Please help me by donating, to help cover the costs of the trip. I’m expecting it to come in around $2500 when all is said and done.
My boss was away from work last week, so I was covering for her. Sigh, it wouldn’t be a problem if I had someone to cover my work, but I don’t! lol

YAY!
It’s almost 10 years since I had my photography has debuted publicly. I’ve had them in a downtown Toronto gallery as part of a Kodak show. It’s even been sent around the globe as I’ve done photography for the City of Vaughan – to help promote the region for development, investment, etc.
Apple Box Images (UK) is selling many of my more recent shots as part of their greeting card business, as well as printed on canvases – they call these AppleBlocks. I’ve had people from all over the world use several of my photos for various web and print productions, for corporate, non-profit, and personal use.
This is just the start of some great work to come!

I really wanted to go to the CSS workshop, however it was full when I signed up for the conference. Instead, I ended up attending the Web Accessibility workshop.
