It’s been a while since my last post… sorry to those of you who come back and read it…
What’s been going on with me? Well, I’ve worked out the details with the gallery in BC – regarding them selling my photography. I would expect them to be hanging by mid February. Next weekend I’m leaving for the hockey tournament in Israel. I’m excited! I get to see some family before and afterwards, and of course play hockey at an international level. Please help me by donating, to help cover the costs of the trip. I’m expecting it to come in around $2500 when all is said and done.
My boss was away from work last week, so I was covering for her. Sigh, it wouldn’t be a problem if I had someone to cover my work, but I don’t! lol

Well, hockey night in Canada yesterday was great!
The Leafs won – YAY!
It was a tough match, and most of the game was played fairly even strenth. The boys in blue took the game 3-2 against the Anahiem Mighty Ducks.
During one of the intermissions, they had 2 people come down and shoot pucks. For each puck they got in the net (from the blue line) they won $50. I think they had 20 seconds to shoot as many pucks as they could in the net. Once they were done, they turned around to shoot 1 puck in the opposing net, but this time they were blindfolded. They were allowed to have a friend line them up. If they got that shot in, they would win 10 times the money!
The first guy got 5 pucks in the first net, and missing the 10x shot. He walked away with $250.
The second guy got 11 pucks in the first net, and then – to the crowds amazement – got the 10x shot in! He walked away with $5500!

Keep the donations coming in! Today is the last day!
I’m definitely part of the team. My problem right now is the cost. The flight alone is over $1500CAD! Plus the tournament is $350CAD, plus the hotel for the days of the tournament is approx $70CAD/night. Not to mention food, travel inside Israel, etc.
So, what is David doing?
I’m working on getting donations.
Those people who donate will be listed on my Hockey Donaters list with an advertisement. This page will be online until February 1, 2007.
So, what’s the problem?
The problem is that the money is going to a US organization, which means that Canadian citizens cannot get a tax receipt.
How can I help David get to Israel?
The answer, quite simply, is donate some money.

International hockey star?
So I was at my sports banquet last night, and I was invited to go play in the first International Israel Cup at the end of Jan. ’06.
I’ve spoken to my boss, and it’s no prob. for me to move vacation days around to be able to go. I just want to come up with a creative way to raise $ to help pay for the trip.

I estimate that flight, tournament fees, hotel, food, travel, etc. will be about $2000-2500 CAD. Any ideas would certainly be greatful!
