Random thought exchange
Ok, so this morning I bought the Motorola H700. It’s a cute little headset that fits very well and is light. I charged it up, and started to use it. Immediately I noticed that there was quite a bit of static with my phone (the Samsung SPH-A900 w/ Bell on their CDMA network).
I thought maybe it was my phone, so I paired it with my Macbook Pro, and the same thing. It was just too annoying to live with. I thought this headset was supposed to be outstanding with clarity, but I guess my old-school Logitech one is better. A shame that it doesn’t fit this nicely.
This one is going back… onward with the hunt!

Did you buy a fake?
Or was it genuine and one of the initial batches that were defective?
I’ve used a genuine H700 and in fact STILL do. It is marvelous for the price point.
imho, the BEST Moto released thusfar. Great weight:floppy ratio.
I even dealt with Moto USA for the warantee repair and was MOST impressed with them when I initially found out my first was the defective one. My new one as I said is still working Great.
It was a genuine Motorola one. Apparently there are lot of posts around the ‘net (hofo has a bunch) about the static on the Rev A. of the H700.
